It is the start of a new year and we are excited to see students back in the studio and would like to welcome our new students for the 2021-2022 academic year.
See below a welcome message from Prof Paul Chapman, SimVis’ Head of School
“A very warm welcome to you as you start (or continue) your studies and the next chapter of your life here at the Glasgow School of Art and the School of Simulation and Visualisation (SimVis).
There’s no doubt the last two years will have been tumultuous and extremely challenging for you and your family. I sincerely hope that at SimVis, we can provide some stability and consistency for you as you continue your academic journey.
We will not compromise on your safety or the high-quality education that we deliver. Building on our recent experience, we developed a blended approach to learning at SimVis. You will be working within our adapted studios, both through our preferred traditional face to face method of studio-based teaching and online workshops. In addition, you’ll have access to friendly, safe and helpful services to support your course and your studies.
I am positive that even within the challenges of Covid, you will have a positive experience here at SimVis and I’m looking forward to meeting you all face to face.
I wish you all the best in your studies.
Prof Paul Chapman (Head of School, School of Simulation and Visualisation)”
